We currently require the following trades to work on Drax Power station commencing in March 2020 and running through to September / October for the right candidates.
As a minimum the suitable candidates shall need to be competent as follows:
Experience in PLC control looming and terminating - BS5308 and ENATS cabling Experience in control panel wiring
Experience working with cable terminations and schematic drawings
Experience glanding small SWA cabling up to 40CW
Experience in carrying out basic end to end testing, in line with BS7671 requirements
Self-assured and a sound record in producing high quality works, reducing re-works
Experience working in an outage environment working against demanding timescales Experience working within robust H&S requirements
Rates from £16.50 -£24ph
Minimum level 2 qualification in electrical installations
Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial environment.
Minimum of 2 references regarding being deployed as an electrical improver.
Carry out electrical installations alongside the lead electrician.

Must have been a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method of training and have had practical training in electrical installation work.
Must have obtained an NVQ Level 2 in electrical installation work (or approved equivalent)
Must have completed the further education courses, though not necessarily have passed all the examinations, associated with the appropriate training scheme. These will normally be either the City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or the City & Guilds 2351 or the City & Guilds 2330
Must, under the supervision of a fully skilled operative, be able to install wiring systems, wiring enclosures and electrical equipment required by electrical installation work in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IEE Regulations for Electrical Installations and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations. An Electrical Improver will not be deemed competent to carry out final connections, isolation of supplies or any form of inspection or testing.
Rates from £13.00- £17.00ph
Electricians Mates shall be required to have previous experinece of working within an industrial environment / Power station. The suitable candidate shall have a valid indate CCNSG card to gain access to site. and shall be required to have basic tools.
